Chiller Pumps Overview:
Chiller systems use pumps, unlike residential air conditioning units.
There are different types of pumps, each serving a unique purpose.
Evaporator Loop Pump:
This pump sends chilled water to the air handler to remove heat from the space.
Heat-laden water is returned to the evaporator for reconditioning.
Condenser Loop Water Pump:
This pump can transfer heat energy to the building when needed or remove it through the cooling tower when not needed.
It pumps water from the chiller's condenser to the cooling tower.
Heat Rejection System:
Pumps in the heat rejection system move secondary refrigerant or condenser water to discharge heat from the system.
These pumps connect the cooling tower and chiller condenser.
